How This Estimate Is Calculated
Gutter length × price per foot for your home's height, never less than the low end of a typical job for that height. Then any add-ons you checked.
| Home height | Price per linear foot | Typical job total |
|---|---|---|
| 1 story | $0.95–$1.25 | $100–$250 |
| 2 stories | $1.00–$1.85 | $180–$360 |
| 3 stories | $1.25–$2.25 | $210–$450 |
- • Heavy or compacted debris: +$50–$150
- • Clogged downspouts: +$50–$100
- • Gutter guards (check or adjustment): +$25–$50. Guards that have to come off and go back on can cost more.
- • Home size → gutter length: 4 × √(floor area ÷ stories), rounded to 10 ft. A rough stand-in for the roof edge; measuring is better.

Gutter Cleaning Cost Calculator — FAQs
How accurate is this gutter cleaning cost calculator?
It uses published 2026 rates per linear foot for each story height, plus typical add-on costs. Real prices also depend on roof pitch, access and how much debris is up there, so treat the result as a range, not a quote.
How do I measure my gutters?
Add up the length of every roof edge that has a gutter. Pacing along the walls under the gutters and multiplying your steps by your stride works well, or count the gutter sections, which usually come in 10-foot lengths.
Why do two- and three-story homes cost more?
Taller ladders, more setup time and more risk. The published rates run higher per foot at each story, and typical totals rise from about $100–$250 for one story to $210–$450 for three.
